Are there any conferences on Evangelism, Pastors, Apologetics, etc that you guys make sure you attend on an annual basis or as often as you can? Or do you know of a good resource that keeps church leaders informed of upcoming events? An example would be like the Moody Pastor's Conference. I appreciate your responses

There is something wrong with people that do not wish to attend church Three times a week. One spiritual meal a week in my opinion is just not enough to provide those who are saved by God's Grace with the necessary food. What if you only went to the table in your house for jut one meal a week. {think you would Remain healthy}?

To avoid becoming a statistic, who pastors the Pastor when the fatigue and loneliness sets in and the support system seems to have broken down? I learned just yesterday that a Pastor of a large church in the area recently told his congregation that he is "empty," and would be taking an indefinite leave of absence. The response of the congregation was anger, not support. What support can be given to Pastors to prevent emptiness, loneliness, feelings of inadequacy and burn out?

We also look at things that are working, need tweaking or need to be scrapped altogether. Do you guys do something like this? If so what have you found works well to keep these meetings effective?

Should the pastor know what the congregation gives?
Asked by Brian Orme giving
Our pastor tells us (associate ministers) that we should follow through on any service assignment he gives, even if God leads us to do something different. His reasoning is that the assignments he gives come from God through him. My question is should we be obedient to God or obedient to the pastor and the assignment? Help I'm struggling with this.
